Root canal treatment (RCT):
- Root canal treatment is the removal of the irreversibly infected pulp and prevention of future microbial invasion of the root canals, relieving pain and promoting healing . Root canal treatment is done in one or more visits depending on the condition of the pulp
Post and core
- Post and core is either a metal or fiber rod inserted into the root space of a root canal treated tooth to reinforce the tooth that is badly damaged and provide an anchorage for a filling or a crown.
Apex locator
- Apex locator is a devise that is used during root canal treatment, it helps accurately calculate the length of the Root Canal.
- Apex locator ease and shorten the procedure of RCT, also reduces the amount of radiation by decreasing the number of x-ray exposure.
