Preventive and interceptive orthodontic treatment

Some orthodontic conditions are simply easy to correct if they are detected early.

  • Correction of harmful oral habits
  • Guide the growth of the jaw bones so the teeth and the jaws are in the correct alignment.
  • Guide permanent teeth into a more favorable position

Pit and fissure sealants

Dental sealants, consist of a plastic material that is placed on the chewing (Occlusal) surface of the permanent back teeth (Molars and Premolars) to help protect them from bacteria and acids that contribute to tooth decay.

Fluoride therapy

  • Fluoride therapy can help prevent tooth decay, slow it down, or stop it from getting worse. Fluoride strengthen tooth enamel (outer layer of the teeth).

Pulpotomy & Pulpectomy

  • A pulpotomy removes only the diseased part of the pulp and followed by a final restoration. This maintain a vital pulp in the root portion.
  • A pulpectomy is when the diseased pulp tissue is completely removed from both the crown and root. The canals are cleansed, medicated and in the case of primary teeth, filled with a resorbable material. Then a final restoration is place.

Space maintainer

  • Space maintainer is a devise to preserve the space resulted in the early loss of a primary tooth. This allows the permanent tooth to erupt and come into place.

Habit breaker

  • Habit Breaker prevents the child’s harmful habits such as thumb sucking and tongue thrusting.
  • These habits have a negative effect on the position of teeth and the development of bone.
